Tom founded T Ford Company, Inc. (TFCI) in 1983, after having been employed as a construction project manager at Mobil Chemical Co. In the last 20 years, Tom has grown the business into one of the regions most respected general contracting firms. Today, TFCI specializes in environmental restoration, shorefront construction, civil and site improvement projects.

Clients include municipalities and state agencies, Fortune 500 industrial firms and civil engineering consultants. In addition to TFCI, Tom is also the principal in a number of real estate entities that develop residential and commercial land, self storage facilities and custom homes.

Tom is an active member of Boston's North Shore community serving on the Board of Trustees of Danvers Bank and the Board of Directors for Hospice of the North Shore. He is also active in a variety of professional organizations including MIT Center for Real Estate, the American Society of Civil Engineers and Associated Builders & Contractors.

Tom holds a masters degree in Real Estate Development from MIT, a masters in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
